Three people were shot at a Chinese restaurant in Northeast D.C. on Wednesday night February 14, 2024. The shooting happened in the 1700 block of North Capitol Street NE at the Yeung Fong
carryout. D.C. police reported the shooting at about 9:40 p.m. Officers arrived at the scene to find two men with gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospitals in critical condition, where one of the victims, 26 year old Malon Nurse, died from his injuries. A third man, who was shot in his arm and leg, walked to the hospital and is in critical condition. Police advised that the shooting started inside the restaurant and then “spilled out.” Two guns were recovered at the scene.
