Wednesday, February. 28th 2024: Tuolumne County Sheriff’s SWAT personnel assisted Stanislaus County Sheriff’s investigators who searched a rural property belonging to a current MC member in California.
The search was related to a crackdown on ongoing outlaw motorcycle gang activity in multiple counties. The property, east of La Grange between Don Pedro and McClure reservoirs, was in Tuolumne County according to Sgt. Luke Schwartz of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office.
The crackdown resulted from a dispute among dozens of outlaw motorcycle gang members, including rival Hells Angels, Salida Nomads, and Mongols street gang members, which led to unspecified acts of violence last year. Detectives with the Stanislaus Special Investigations Unit followed leads for several months and identified suspects, locations, and other people believed to be involved. A dozen local tac teams including assistance from FBI were involved in the operation which included the raid on a Hells Angels storefront in Stockton.
Law enforcement seized approximately 50 firearms, including shotguns and rifles, three dozen leather vests, many with Hells Angels emblems, and other gang paraphernalia. Also seized were an unspecified quantity of gun silencers, bomb-making explosive materials, ammunition, narcotics, and other controlled substances. No shots were fired, no one was injured, and no arrests were made during the operation.
