Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened on Monday morning. Police advised that just after 0300 they responded to the area of northbound Interstate 95 at Maryland Route 198 in Laurel for the report of a crash involving a motorcycle. Officials said the motorcycle and a car were traveling in the merge lanes of north I-95 to MD 198 when the motorcycle hit the rear of the car. The operator of the motorcycle, identified as 21yo John Carrasco of Silver Spring, died at the scene.
