A motorcyclist died after he was thrown off his bike during a crash in the Northeast section of Washington, D.C. on June 27. According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the crash happened around 9:40 a.m. when 33-year-old Marvin Anthony Williams, of Prince George’s County Maryland, was riding a motorcycle in the 500 block of Eastern Ave. NE.
Police said Williams, father of three, was allegedly speeding when he tried to pass a Honda Civic in front of him. As he approached the passenger side of the car, he hit the side mirror then lost control and was ejected off the bike, slid, and hit a parked car. Williams was rushed to the hospital, where he died.
Police said the driver of the Honda remained at the scene and cooperated with officers.
