Missing Biker Zachary DeMoss:

13 Aug

KOOSKIA – Authorities are searching for Zachary DeMoss, a 24-year-old motorcyclist who was last seen on August 11, 2024, riding with a group of bikers in Kooskia, Idaho. DeMoss, who stands 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 300 pounds, was last observed on his black Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 motorcycle. DeMoss’s motorcycle is distinct, featuring ape hanger handlebars with large spikes on each end, black Harley saddle bags, and camping gear strapped to the back. The bike’s back left turn signal was reportedly hanging slightly off but remained functional. The motorcycle bears a Montana license plate with the tag “HOGG.” According to the group he was riding with, the last contact they had with DeMoss was in Kooskia where he had given them a head start. His bike was later spotted pulled off the road at the Eagle Mountain Trailhead on Route 12 at approximately 4:30 p.m. After riding on for about five minutes, the group stopped to wait for DeMoss, but when they returned to check on him, both he and his motorcycle were gone.

At the time of his disappearance, DeMoss was wearing a bluish-grey long-sleeve undershirt with a leather vest and a bright white helmet with black designs. His phone has been going straight to voicemail, and there has been no activity on his bank cards since he was last seen.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on Zachary DeMoss’s whereabouts to come forward. The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office is handling the case and can be reached at 406-258-4810.

UPDATED Contact information: If you have any information or have questions, please call Idaho County Sheriff’s Office at 208-926-4221.
